Craig Middleton

Craig is the Pulpit Minister at Central. He has degrees in both Journalism (University of Georgia) and Mathematics (Augusta University).

Craig was a member at Central from 2004-2013 while teaching locally at Lakeside High School. After that time, he entered full-time ministry as the Pulpit Minister at the Aiken Church of Christ in Aiken, SC (2013-2022). Before beginning his service to the church here at the beginning of 2024, Craig was also the Children and Young Families Minister at the Buford Church of Christ in Buford, GA (2022-2023). In addition, Craig serves on the board at Palmetto Bible Camp.

Craig has been married to his wife, Kelsy, since 2008, and they have three children: Evelynn, Zachary, and Katie. Craig and his family are so incredibly blessed to be back at Central!

Luke Gay

Luke Gay is the Youth Minister at Central. Luke began serving the church as an intern during the summer of 2024, and he is now working with the youth on a full-time basis.

Luke is currently attending Heritage Christian University remotely in order to pursue a degree in ministry.

Luke enjoys watching college football (Go Dawgs!!!), playing golf, and spending time with his family. Luke has a passion for helping Central's youth grow closer to the Lord each and every day.

Bobby Pace

Bobby Pace grew up on a farm in Clarksville, TN that raised cattle, corn, wheat, and soybeans. He was baptized into the church of Christ in February, 1993. He and his wife Cindy have been married for almost 30 years and they have lived in Augusta and attended the Central Church of Christ for the past 18 years. Bobby and Cindy have two daughters, Brooke and Whitney who also grew up in the church at Central. Bobby and Cindy enjoy travelling and watching Tennessee sports.

Riley Kester

Riley Kester was born and raised on a dairy farm in Indiana. He spent his adult life performing military and law enforcement work. His first association with this congregation was 1965. His job assignments would move him in and out of Augusta for the next 35 years. He married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Martin and in the upcoming November they will celebrate 62 years together. He has 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great granddaughters. He is dedicated to and loves the congregation at Central!

Ben Lambright

Ben Lambright was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He was baptized into the Church of Christ in 1970. He has been married to his wife Barbara for 53 years. Their children and grandchildren are members of the church. He has served as an elder for congregations in California, Michigan, and now Georgia. He and his wife enjoy teaching and serving in the community.

Billy Middleton

Billy is a long time resident of Augusta, Georgia. He is married to his wife Denise and they have three kids: Barry, Craig, and Lauren. He and Denise have 7 grandchildren as well. He is the co-owner of Industrial Metal Finishing here in downtown Augusta. In his spare time Billy enjoys playing cards/games, watching Georgia football, and spending time with his grandkids.

Sonny Gay

Arthur J (Sonny) Gay, Jr. was born in Augusta, GA and has lived here all his life. He met Deborah Smith his high school sweetheart at Central. They were married August 1967. He graduated Augusta College in 1969. They have two Christian sons Arthur (Trey) Gay, III, Todd E. Gay and five beautiful grandchildren. Both boys and their families are very active in the church. Trey, Elisabeth, Judson, Ella Diane, and Landon live in Nolensville, TN. Todd (Central Deacon), Melanie, Luke, and Katelyn live in Evans and attend Central.

Joey Burns

Joey Burns was born in Augusta, GA. He has lived here most of his life except while away for college. He has been married to his wife Rosalynne for 35 years. Their children and spouses remain faithful and active members of the Lord's church. They have one precious granddaughter. He loves being outside and busy at all times. Rosalynne loves teaching the preschool Bible classes. They both love serving others and being involved in church activities.

Ben Weathers

Ben is a long time resident of Augusta, Georgia. He is married to his wife Beverly and they have two kids, Nathan and Natalie. Ben and Beverly have two grandchildren as well. Ben is the owner/CEO of COM Systems here in downtown Augusta. In his spare time Ben enjoys spending time with friends and family, being in the outdoors, and running marathons.
